It’s easier than ever to find, subscribe to, and listen to literally thousands of podcasts on every topic from news, arts, business, comedy, education, politics, sports, technology, music, health, spirituality, hobbies, and more. Now with no prep for you, you and your students can join the movement quickly, easily, and purposefully with these podcast worksheets for analysis and coloring/doodling.

Add a paired podcast to your current unit of study, have students listen and respond for a sub lesson, or just conduct one of the activities as a stand-alone lesson. Or, if you just need to pause, rest, and reset, one of these two freebie sheets will allow your students to do just that while they listen.

Student Experience: Podcasts allow us to hear the voices of so many different people, and not only can you access viewpoints both alike and different from your own, but also you have knowledge at your fingertips and the ability to learn new things. FREE MISC. LESSON - “2 Week No Prep DBT Sensory Skills Group for Neurodivergent Teens”

"DBT...Sensory Skills? That's not by the book, Ms. Whimsy." Indeed, DBT Sensory Skills combine adaptive Distress Tolerance work with psychoeducation about sensory needs and self-regulation, therein meeting a previously unmet need.

This no-prep neurodivergent friendly group is adapted specifically for teens and adults with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and other forms of neurodivergency. Adaptations include: interactive guided notes, color coded sections, memory devices, comic sans font, sensory informed skills, accessible practice, and more!

Skills covered in this group: internal senses (hypersensitivity and hyposensitivity), external senses (hypersensitivity and hyposensitivity), adaptive IMPROVE skill, how to make a sensory plan, and an original-to-me skill I utilize to teach clients how to handle sensory meltdowns, SAFE.

The handouts included with this listing are linked in the last slide of each presentation's google presentation as a .pdf which can be opened from google drive.

While individual parts of my neurodivergent DBT group (such as this one :)) can be purchased in my store, the skills are meant to be taught as a whole and as such each group reviews all previous skills taught. This group reviews Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, and Distress Tolerance skills in addition to teaching and reinforcing Sensory skills.

FREE MISC. LESSON - “FREEBIE Where’s Santa ‘Find It’ Collage and Logic Activities”

This is a sample that is similar to my larger product, "Where's Santa Deductive Reasoning Logic Problems & “Spot It” Type Collages (and Where’s Gingerbread Boy, Rudolph, Elf’s hat)"

The kids can have some fun while critically thinking with this task card/answer sheet activity.

The first part of this activity involves finding, circling and numbering as many Santas as possible in the collage. Give students the top part of the directions/clues page to follow and record on.

The second part of this activity is to find the real Santa by reading, using logic (deductive reasoning) and crossing out the Santas according to the clues given. The students must be given the bottom part of the directions/clues page to complete this and to record their answer about the “real” Santa.
