This product is an interactive science lab which focuses on measuring volumes of irregular solids using the method of water displacement. It is also shown interactively that objects with the same volume may have different masses. This scientific laboratory contains activities to Engage, Explore, Explain, Extend, and Evaluate. Several parts of these activities may be followed by the students without the help of the teacher since they include very clear steps and guided questions that keep the students focused.

Concepts:

1. Solids have their own volume and shape
2. We can add and subtract volumes of solids
3. Milliliters are equivalent to cubic centimeters
4. Volume and mass are physical properties of matter
5. Solids are an example of a state of matter
6. Volume can be measured using a graduated cylinder or a ruler
