FREE SOCIAL STUDIES LESSON - “Compare & Contrast Veterans Day & Memorial Day Patriotic Venn Diagrams”

by Margo Gentile
2nd - 5th Grade

Here's something a little different to do with the kids for Veterans Day and/or Memorial Day.
Choose from 4 "fancy" Venn diagrams (2 color; 2 B&W). The B&W diagram can be colored in once the students jot down the differences and similarities between Veterans Day and Memorial Day. A diagram even has writing lines!
These Venn diagrams are actually part of a much larger recource:
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Compare-and-Contrast-Memorial-Day-and-Veterans-Day-Fascinating-Familiar-Facts-2566920

The larger product includes the 4 Venn diagrams, lots and lots of info about the 2 holidays (organized and easy to read/comprehend info which lends itself to Venn diagram completion), a "notes" graphic organizer, timeline fill-ins..... all "sewn up" with a craft.

FREE MISC. LESSON - “Clock Petal”

by Nerissa Reddick
Pre-Kindergarten - 1st Grade

Updated: By request I uploaded it with an easier font to read. The file still contains both fonts.

Clock labels to teach hour and minute on an analog clock. The labels make your clock look like a flower. Not a new idea, but just a fun one I designed. This fits most home clocks, 8.5 diameter. Classroom clocks may be larger. I have included a picture of it on my own clock so you can see the finished product. Print, laminate, and put up, you can leave it in your classroom all year.
