FREE MISC. LESSON - “Days of the Week Free Response Cards for Circle Time and Morning Meeting”

Kindergarten - 3rd Grade

Days of the week are a staple in many preschool circle times and other morning meetings for older special education activities. These free days of the week response cards are a great addition to any morning group activity to get every student responding, engaged and practicing identifying which day it is.

Multiple Use Resource

Students can:

• put a clothespin on the day when the teacher asks the class to identify yesterday, today and tomorrow. Each time the teacher scans the group and can see who has the right answer and who needs more help
• the teacher can ask when a special activity is going to occur and students can answer with their response cards
• Students can point on their response cards to the right answer
• or cut the cards apart and have them sequence the days of the week during morning meeting or during other activities like independent work
• Use them as flashcards to practice days of the week

❤️These free response cards come in different sizes with full color and light color options. And they could be printed in black and white mode easily as well.

Thanksgiving and Fall Foods HOTS Categorizing Activity - $3.50

This is a fun exercise that helps students practice Higher Order Thinking Skills as they work in small groups to classify items into general and specific categories. Students will examine ten groups of four items and determine into which general category they fit. Then, they will determine which item is different in some way from the other three and remove it. What remains will be a specific category that they will identify.

FREE MATH LESSON - “FREEBIE Properties of a Circle Flippable (Foldable) and Exit Ticket”

This "Pac-Man" style flippable is a perfect visual example of the various components of a circle that students can keep in their Interactive Notebooks as a visual reference when working to determine the radius, diameter, chord and arcs of a circle. There is also a place to take notes of the formulas for circumference and area of a circle.

This Flippable is perfect to be used as a mini lesson in an Interactive Notebook. Once completed it can be followed up with the included Properties of a Circle Exit Ticket where students will apply the knowledge they have learned about relationships to distinguish between a diameter and radius as a chord.

An example on how this is used is also included in the download for your reference.
