Using Free Rice (FreeRice.com) in Your Classroom: Download this document to see how you can use the website http://FreeRice.com with your students. It includes a student log so they can track their progress.
FreeRice.com is a non-profit website that donates rice to feed the hungry. Students can earn rice that will help feed others by answering questions related to: vocabulary (multiple languages), grammar, literature, math (multiplication & pre-Algebra), chemistry, art (artist/artwork), and geography (countries, capitols, and flags).
It's a wonderful way to incorporate technology, vocabulary work (or other content area skills), and character education into your curriculum. Allow your students to feel good, knowing they can help others.
