FREE SOCIAL STUDIES LESSON - “A Day in the Life: The Virginia Colony The Tobacco Solution”

Students will read a non fiction passage about the introduction of tobacco to the Virginia Colony in 1612 and answer text-dependent questions. Students will read a fictional passage about a family adopting the practice of planting tobacco, answer text-dependent questions, and then summarize the steps in the planting and production of tobacco using a graphic organizer.
