FREE! Spooky Sight Word Match. I made this engaging Halloween-themed game to provide my kinders with more sight word practice. It includes the pre-primer Dolch sight words, as well as an EDITABLE page so you can add your own words! There is also a directions page for the matching game, although the cards could be used to play “Go Fish” or other games, as well. Two writing response/recording pages are also included (in both color and black and white).

This game and the writing activities address the following Common Core Standards* for kindergarten:

RF.K.1b Recognize that spoken words are represented in written language by specific sequences of letters.

RF.K.3c Read common high-frequency words by sight (e.g., the, of, to, you, she, my, is, are, do, does).

L.K.1a Print many upper- and lowercase letters.
