FREE SCIENCE LESSON - “FREE Protista Kingdom Graphic Organizer - Protists, Algae, Protozoa”

This free Protista Kingdom resource is a one-page graphic organizer covering the three main groups of protists: The Algae, Protozoans, and Slime Molds. It is designed to help our science students identify a basic set of facts about each group, including examples, types of cellular organization, methods of reproduction, and types of nutrition.

This graphic organizer was written to accompany my Protista Kingdom Powerpoint and Notes Set, but it can easily and appropriately be used with any unit on protists.

Both printable and digital versions of this resource are included. The student handouts can be printed or used in the paperless digital format in your Google Drive, Google Classroom, Microsoft OneDrive, or similar. This resource is perfect for traditional classroom settings, 1:1 schools, or for distance learning.

FREE MISC. LESSON - “Suggested Product Pricing Guide for TpT Sellers”

This free download is posted as a companion resource for the February 2013 Sellers' Newsletter. In writing about the dilemmas of product pricing, especially for our thousands of newcomers, I suggest that we move away from emotionally driven methods that target author input as the major factor and switch to measurable customer benefits as the primary criteria.

I have created a sample pricing guide, in rubric form, that sellers can use as a fact-based measure to get a better idea of product value. The final decision, of course, remains a judgment call, but with the pricing guide, the judgment is sounder.

The sample guide will not work with all of TpT’s various product forms and styles. I’m hoping others will take up the challenge and create a pool of guides that will keep us moving along on the same pricing page.
