This free teacher newsletter template is going to save you hours of time during the school year! This can be a weekly newsletter or a monthly newsletter, or even an announcement newsletter.
Customize it to fit your style. Change the font, change the titles, enlarge the sections, add some clipart, or just leave it with a simple, clean style. I used this in my classroom and it saved me so much time.
You do not have to create a new document every week. A year's worth of newsletters will be in this one file. That way, if someone has a question, you can refer back to your newsletter and see when you sent home a note about it.
Use this template as an editable newsletter in Powerpoint. Export the one slide you need for the week to send home to your parents digitally or you can print it. Add text, and pictures, and if you send it digitally you can embed video.

It will take you a few minutes to set it up at the beginning of the year. After that, it will only take you about 10 minutes to fill it out and send it out each week.
You can even create a classroom job of newsletter editor and let a student fill out some of the basic parts for you!

Use the template boxes for these things and more:
- Title
- The week, not the date. Week 1, week 2, etc.
- Spelling words (A student can type the list in for you.)
- Vocabulary words (Another great student job.)
- Upcoming dates. (I included assemblies, field trips, special occasions at school.)
- Kudos (You can include a part to give a shout out to one or more students.)
- Chat box (This is where you can say thanks to the parents for something, give some important information, or any short note.)
