FREE MATH LESSON - “Free Word Problem of the Day - Valentine’s Day 2024”

Use these free Valentine-themed math story problems for your Word Problem of the Day leading up to Valentine’s Day.

There are five word problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The fifth story problem is a multi-step math word problem.

Students may show their work on printed worksheets or complete the Easel Activity on a computer. Save photocopying costs and have students solve the problems on scratch paper and then find the correct multiple-choice response on the Easel Assessment.

I received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Los Angeles Educational Partnership. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and attained a scaled score of 386 points. Teachers needed a scaled score of 275 points to become certified.

I teach concepts in a very strategic way that is not found in the typical textbook. I will be creating videos that demonstrate how I teach language arts, math, and other subjects so that ALL students can succeed.

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Valentine’s Day Love Flip Flap Book. Writing Prompts, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd”

Students will have fun putting together this adorable "Book of Love" Flip Flap mini booklet which is perfect for Valentine's Day. Recording sheets and writing prompts will follow up this flip flap book activity so students can show all the people whom they love and care about.

You can use this any time of the year and it fits all types of families. Students choose pictures of members that make up their own family in this easy-to-assemble booklet. This product includes people images to be used for caucasian and African American families.

Please download the preview to view all of the pages and you will see how cute this book is.

Directions for use:

To assemble the flip books, cut out each rectangle, then along the lines of the bottom rectangle. Make sure that the top rectangle is left intact as it will form the base for the flip book! Arrange the “flips” (pages) one on top of the other and staple them to the base.
