Your kids will have fun with compound words!
This is a low prep interactive activity for reinforcing compound words for reading and writing. The compound words are large enough to cut up and paste, or simply manipulate compound word halves (candy halves) to form complete words. Other practice with this reading activity includes writing words in ABC order, and writing compound words. After reading them, practice spelling them! Fun to color when the activity has been completed.

Ways to use this set:
Activity 1: Cards: Students combine candy halves to create compound words. (You may want to set out only half of the words at a time.) Play individually, with a partner, or in small group. Take turns, make it a game...or make up your own rules.
Activity 2: Two fun sheets: Complete compound words by adding another word.
Activity 3: Two sheets: Alphabetize 10 words (level 1 –easy) Or level 2 (harder)
