FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Growth Mindset ABC Order {Freebie}”

This no-prep language arts free resource sampler was created for the purpose of giving 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students practice with the skill of placing 18 specific, content-based words and phrases in alphabetical order. In addition, students will use their decoding skills to identify and sort growth mindset vocabulary words by sound spellings (short vowels, long vowels, r-controlled words, etc.), part of speech (nouns, verbs, etc.), and number of syllables.

How It Works: Students are given an unalphabetized list of growth mindset vocabulary words and phrases. Each list of words is to be rearranged alphabetically. After the words have been arranged in alphabetical order, the words may then be categorized and color-sorted by vowel sound, part of speech, or the number of syllables.

FREE MATH LESSON - “FREEBIE: Dollars and Cents (money) board game”

This is a snakes and ladders board game where kiddos collect money as they travel around the board. BEWARE: there are also pickpockets who will steal your hard-earned money or you might be generous and donate to charity! The player with the most money at the end of the game wins. Can be played by 2-4 players and is tabloid/A3 size (alternatively print as 2 letter/A4 sized sheets and stick to a file folder). Comes with an instruction sheet (hence zip). 

This game is perfect for rotations, centers or work stations. 

Please note that the money images print out darker and clearer than what you can see in the preview - there are coins to land on in the yellow boxes even though they can't be seen clearly. 

This board uses Australian currency, but if you know where I can get yours, please email me and I can make up a game for you.
