FREE MATH LESSON - “Dice and Dominoes Tic Tac Toe: Practice with Subitizing, Counting, and Adding”

by Stacey Fisher
Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten

My kids love playing educational Tic Tac Toe with a partner! Definitely a class favorite! This version of Tic Tac Toe helps kids build number sense by identifying the number of dots shown on a single die, a pair of dice, or on a domino.

There are nine game boards in this FREEBIE. The packet includes:
★ 3 Single Die Tic Tac Toe Games
★ 3 Double Dice Tic Tac Toe Games
★ 3 Domino Tic Tac Toe Games

The different game boards allow you to differentiate the game to meet the needs of your students. You can use the game boards with single die to practice subitizing and building number sense. You can use the game boards with double dice and dominoes to practice counting and addition. When using the game boards with double dice and dominoes, you could also have your students write the corresponding addition sentence.

To play: Player 1 selects a box on the game board. Player 1 determines how many dots are shown on the die, dice, or domino and writes his/her answer in the box. Player 2 checks Player 1’s work. If Player 1 is correct, he or she may draw an X or an O in the box. If Player 1 is incorrect, his or her turn is over.

This product is a sample of my Tic Tac Toe games. Check the custom categories on the left side of my store in order to find more products containing educational Tic Tac Toe games.
