3rd - 4th Grade
If you teach noun uses in sentences, try out this engaging practice activity that gets the minds and bodies of your students moving. In the activity, Make a Match, students are given a sentence card with an underlined noun or a noun job card (subject, object, predicate nominative). Moving around the room to music, students must find their matching card. When they think they have a match, they discuss with each other why their cards match. If they decide their cards don’t match, they continue searching until they locate the right matching card.
