TEACHER TIPS:
Use these poem printables as writing activities during WINTER or to celebrate CHRISTMAS.
1. Start by showing students some examples of the type of poem they will write (haiku, calligram,etc…) or ask them to Google some examples and notice the structure (Does it rhyme? How many lines does it have?...).
2. Hand out the templates, and have students write about their feelings, actions, or memories with CHRISTMAS.
3. Place them on a wall as décor or on a bulletin board for other students to see their work.
4. You can also use these templates as drafts and then ask them to do the final version on some cardstock they can decorate.
