3rd - 6th Grade
Back to School! Start the year off right with this free resource designed to teach students about rights and responsibilities. I use this activity to discuss actions and desired behaviors or classroom roles with grades 4-5. Make connections to your school’s values, vision or mission statement so the activity is relevant to your learners. Simply edit, add or delete as desired, then print!
I get my students into discussion groups to look at the definitions and match them to actions. We think about which rights and responsibilities complement each other. We create a display with the results of their discussion and add photos over the year to show them in these roles in our classroom.
Here's what's included:
- Header labels & definitions for rights, responsibilities, and different school values
- 12 different examples for both rights and responsibilities
- Headers of 20 common school values to complement your discussion
