FREE MATH LESSON - “A Free Lesson for "Sir Cumference and the First Round Table"”

by Teaching Ideas For Those Who Love Teaching
4th - 5th Grade

A two day lesson which incorporates literacy and math. This lesson will introduce 4th and 5th grade students to the vocabulary of diameter, radius, circumference and Pi. The lesson goes with the story Sir Cumference and the First Round Table. It includes a worksheet and homework assignment for the first night, and a lead in for the story Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi, review and mini lesson description for the second day. This is a great introduction prior to delving into the traditional textbook lesson of your math series, or to use as a follow up after teaching the geometry lessons.
