SCAVENGER HUNT:
My students really enjoyed this activity – I’m sure your students will too! I cut out and laminated the twenty Scavenger Hunt Cards. I then tacked them to the wall with Plasti-Tac. Spread them out or hide them for more fun.

♦ Students may start with any card to begin with.

♦ They write the problem to solve on their recording sheets and look for the answer (top) on another card.

♦ The name of the picture of the card where the answer is found is written below the answer on the Recording Sheet.

♦ Students then solve the next question at the bottom of the card where they found the answer and look for the answer again on another card.

♦All questions are solved this way till the question of the last card loops back to the answer of the first card.

Clear visual instructions further provided in file. The Scavenger Hunt is an effective way for students to check their working and arrive at the right answer in order to solve the next problem. Should they loop to the first card they started with before problems on all cards are solved, they may refer to the image on the answer key to see where they've gone wrong.

This would be an effective means to check and review as students solve the problems.
