Set up your own Estimation Station with this fun activity for all ages.
I've used this at Halloween and for Valentine's Day. You provide a jar of candy and a basket or box to collect your students' estimates. Vary the size of candy, depending on the level of your students. It's always fun to see the different estimates--from some that are way off the mark to some that are quite accurate!
This is also a fun school-wide activity. Set it up in the Media Center and have kids submit their guesses. The class with the most accurate estimates wins the jar of candy.
