As of August 28, 2025, this product has been overhauled. Based on feedback from teachers, I've replaced some of the task cards with printable story maps. Here's what this product now includes:
- 11 task cards in color (Everything else is in black and white.)
- A printable story map for the "Somebody, Wanted, But, So Then, Afterward" strategy (Please peruse the thumbnails.)
- 2 printable story maps to review a fiction story (Please peruse the thumbnails for the first page.)
- 1 printable page for students to retell the story in their own words. (There are six boxes, but teachers may differentiate this by using fewer boxes.)
I created this updated resource in Canva with paid materials, so I can't provide an editable copy. Please don't ask. Right now, I don't plan to add anything else to this product.
