Product Description:

A simple set of coupons, 7 in English and 7 in Spanish, that can be given to students as gifts or rewards. There are also blank coupons for the teacher to handwrite rewards. English coupons have black borders; Spanish coupons have gray.

Save money and give your students the reward of time instead. Some of the privileges include lunch with the teacher, 15 minutes of computer time, bringing a stuffed animal to class, and working with a friend.

The ten slides in this FREE Elements of Literature PowerPoint enable teachers to show students how to analyze literature in depth. Each slide offers a visual lesson for Setting, Characters, Plot, Conflict, The World the Author Creates, Theme, Symbols, Tone and Literary Terms.

Teachers can use this presentation as an overview before delving into a literature study, or as a reinforcement prior to analyzing a short story, a novel, or narrative non-fiction. FREE MATH LESSON - “Nets and Solids Freebie for Valentine's Day”

This resource is intended to help students understand the relationship between a net and a solid, offer a creative Valentine that students can give to others, and allow students to explore the relationship between vertices, edges, and faces.

You can use the nets which are already filled with different designs and/or the blank nets to have students decorate as desired. Once decorated, the nets can be laminated (if you choose) and then cut out by only cutting on the boundary lines of each net. The student will then fold on each internal line so that the three-dimensional solid can be made. Use tape to join all edges except one.

If you choose to have your students use this resource for creating Valentines for others, you can choose to fill the solid with candy or use the blank notes provided on page 3. Students can decide who they would like to give their Valentine to and complete the note to place inside of the solid before it is taped shut. Students will first decide if their note will “Share Love”, “Bring Joy”, “Give Hope”, or they can use the blank note. Students will write a message to the person that they will be giving the Valentine to with the written note. The note will be folded, as needed, to fit inside of the ornament and the final edge taped shut. Students can have one single solid as a Valentine or combine several of the solids together to make a larger Valentine. These Valentine solids can be hung from the classroom ceiling or wherever the teacher chooses to use them for decoration. The students can then take them to deliver to their selected person after they are no longer used to decorate the classroom.

If you choose to have students explore the relationship between vertices, edges, and faces, you can have them complete the table on Page 4 for each solid. They will need to explore the solids of others to find ones different from their own.

Have your students create their own Valentine's Day cards for their classmates, friends, loved ones. Why spend money on boxed sets when they can make them personal?

As an added educational twist, tie it to the unit you are studying. Make them literature-related, or from a time period in history, or have them use scientific or mathematical terminology. Examples of each are included!

Four pages of templates included. Just print and distribute. Students can create on the page, cut, and give away.
