FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Valentines Day Themed Writing A letter And Addressing An Envelope”

How to write a letter and address an envelope are skills that I have seen go to the wayside as texting and internet has taken a front seat. The other day, my friend who works in a bank was training a 17 year old to be a teller and she was asked to mail a receipt to a customer. She had no clue how to address an envelope to send it. This is unacceptable.

This is a fun Valentine's Day themed activity to teach students how to both write a letter and address an envelope and then has the students practice.

FREE MATH LESSON - “Valentine, Valentine in My Hands, How Many Hearts Do I See? Math Freebie”

Students create two Valentines. They create two sets from hearts and glue onto the Valentines. Students create a math sentence to match the sets that they created on their Valentines.

K.OA.3 Decompose numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than one way by using objects or drawings, and record each decomposition by a drawing or equation.
