FREE SCIENCE LESSON - “Health - Food Freebie - Guess the Food!”

This is a fun PowerPoint where the students read clues and have to guess the correct food. Slides are fully animated so that only one clue appear at a time. Also included is a link to fun food brain break.

This is a great reading activity for the whole class, or you could use it as a listening activity for younger children that can't read yet.

FREE MATH LESSON - “I Have Who Has Game | Add and Subtract Within 20”

This I Have Who Has game is perfect for practicing addition and subtraction within 20. Students will enjoy the cute clipart on each card while practicing important listening skills. In this game, students will have a number and an addition or subtraction problem on each card. When they hear a problem that matches their answer read aloud, it is their turn to give the answer and ask the next question (provided on their card). Great for whole-class engagement, I Have Who Have games give students each a chance to read aloud and stay engaged throughout the game.

Included:

22 game cards - full color version
22 game cards - black and white version

If you have fewer than 22 students, some can have 2 cards each.

If you have more than 22 students, some can pair up and share a card.

substitute activities
skill mastery check-ins
end of the year test prep
identifying students who need extra instruction

I've even used IHWH games in centers. Students just grab more than one card and have to pay really close attention. It works great!

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “FREE Planet Hop Board Game oy oi sound”

The goal of the game is for students to read oi/oy words and 'planet hop' back to Earth. I sometimes put out this game for students to play during Word Work (as part of the Daily 5) with cards that focus on the spelling or phonics pattern we are learning. It's always a hit and so easy to differentiate with. You could also use it for math centers (just change the cards) or literacy work stations.

With the cards provided, there is 3 levels of play:

1.Level 1 words
2.Level 2 words
3.Level 3 - spell either Level 1 or 2 words.

You could even just substitute with your own cards (spelling or math) and you've got another game! Such a versatile board because there is nothing on the board that marks it as only for oi and oy words.
