This is a fun literacy center color word FREEBIE for anytime of the year that will definitely help keep your students engaged.
Print out the board included and either laminate it or place in a write and wipe pocket folder. There are 16 color word cards included. Instead of having the word written on each card, there are pictures of each letter's beginning sound. Using these pictures, students will determine each letter to form the color words.
The words included are:
red
yellow
pink
green
purple
orange
blue
brown
black
white
gray
tan
gold
silver
violet
aqua
After determining the letters in the word, students will use letter beads and pipe cleaner to bead the word. Students will then type the word on the ipad and write it on the ipad with a dry erase marker.
There is 1 recording sheet included that can be used for your students to keep track of which words they have completed.
They will then wipe and clear their board in preparation for the next word.
***Supplies needed for this center***
-Write and Wipe Pockets (or you could laminate the mats)
-letter beads
-pipe cleaner
-dry erase marker
-eraser or tissue paper to erase with
