This free Songs, Rhymes and Fingerplays resource includes visuals for 60 different songs, rhymes, and fingerplays that are great to use with young children to support their language development. There is a choice board (with a field of 6), so young children can make a choice of the song they want to sing. A parent-friendly handout is also included, which has information about the benefits of singing songs and rhymes with their child, and ideas for how to do this at home, plus links where they can find additional songs and lyrics.

Pages 5-7: visuals
Page 8: choice board.
Ideas for use:
- Print the songs and rhymes visuals out full-size, and use these as a reference sheet for yourself.
- Print the songs and rhymes visuals and the choice board. Laminate and cut up the visuals and fix ‘hook and loop fasteners’ (i.e., Velcro) on the back of each one, and on the choice board. Put a small selection on the choice board for the child to choose from in the session.
- Print the songs and rhymes visuals and the parent handout and give these to parents/caregivers during sessions for them to use at home.
Please note, two versions are included in the download: a US and UK/AUS version with slight title differences (e.g., Itsy Bitsy Spider vs Incy Wincey Spider). However, as I am from the UK, I am not familiar with all the alternative titles for songs throughout the world, so please use the titles you are most familiar with, and use the visuals as a guide.
