Celebrate spring and April's poetry month with this cute and crafty creepy crawlie!
Students will have fun creating this cute creature and writing original poems or short stories to help celebrate spring and/or April's poetry month!
This ladybug craftivity download includes graphic organizers to get students listing adjectives and verbs to help write their diamante-like poems.
Directions for the poems and an example are included as well as the template to write their final copies. The poem template has two copies on the same page. I have my students use one copy for their sloppy copy and the other for their final draft.
It also includes a writing template if you prefer to have them write a report on a ladybug or a short story instead.
If you would like your students to write a report, the life cycle stages of the ladybug with actual photos has been included. This has been sized to hide beneath the ladybug's wings.
In addition, all of the pattern pieces needed to create the finished product are included.
All graphics and/or fonts are original work by My Cute Graphics, Pink Cat Studio, and Kevin and Amanda.
