FREE MATH LESSON - “Problem Trail: Evaluating Functions Function Notation Basic (Distance Learning)”

by Activities by Jill
8th - 11th Grade

Problem trails are a great way to get kids out of their seats and moving around the room while learning!

This problem trail focuses on evaluating functions with function notation. Students will find the value of a function given x.

Ten problems are included in this activity. Post problems around the classroom for students to solve. They may work alone or with a partner. Students may start with any problem. They will answer the question and then follow the directions to the next location. By following the instructions, they will eventually visit each question and the path will lead them back to where they started. Thus, if they end up where they started and visited each location, their answers must be correct. The self-checking aspect of this activity is great for students and teachers alike.
