In an effort to help my students become more independent library users, I made a list of keywords they often ask for when looking for new library books. I glued the pages on the front and back of a piece of cardstock and laminated it. I placed a copy at each of the computer stations in the library. This enables students to independently use the online search catalog to find books related to their interests. Our search catalog is very particular about spelling, so this is a great reference tool for the students. If you need the keywords adjusted to meet the needs of your students, just let me know.
