FREE SOCIAL STUDIES LESSON - “FREEBIE: The Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior”

by Two Pencils and a Book
4th - 12th Grade

Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister and civil-rights activist who had an epic impact on race relations in the United States, playing an instrumental role in ending the legal segregation of Black citizens in the United States, and the creation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

This 6:00 minute video shows his life and legacy and pairs well with my Martin Luther King, Jr. Differentiated Unit - Standards-Based. The video covers from birth through his assassination. This MLK video also works well as a stand alone product.

It would be appreciated if you have a look at the Unit!
